Position Summary
The Soccer Factory is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associates to join our San Marcos team. Whether you're seeking a part-time or full-time opportunity, you'll play a key role in providing an outstanding shopping experience for soccer players, coaches, teams, and fans. From helping customers find the perfect pair of cleats to keeping the sales floor organized, you'll be part of a team that's passionate about growing the game.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet every customer with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Assist customers in selecting soccer footwear, apparel, equipment, and fan gear.
- Provide expert product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Build lasting relationships through exceptional customer service.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally.
Sales
- Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals.
- Recommend complementary products to enhance the customer's purchase.
- Stay knowledgeable about current promotions, new arrivals, and featured products.
- Support team sales initiatives and store events.
Merchandising
- Restock merchandise throughout the day.
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays.
- Ensure product pricing and signage are accurate.
- Assist with seasonal floor sets and promotional displays.
Store Operations
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and gift cards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming shipments.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
Inventory
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Stock shelves and backroom inventory.
- Help minimize inventory loss by following company procedures.
Community Engagement
- Represent The Soccer Factory with professionalism at in-store events and community activities.
- Share your passion for soccer while helping customers find the right products for their game.
Qualifications
Required
- Friendly, positive attitude with a passion for customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience.
- Passion for soccer and knowledge of soccer equipment, footwear, and apparel.
- Experience using retail POS systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
