Screen Printer
Position Summary
The Screen Printer is responsible for operating automatic screen printing equipment to produce high-quality printed apparel and related products. This role requires strong attention to detail, production efficiency, and the ability to maintain printing equipment to ensure consistent output. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and cleaning an M&R SPORTSMAN® EX Automatic Screen Printing Press and understands the full screen printing workflow from setup through production and cleanup.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
Operate the M&R SPORTSMAN® EX Automatic Screen Printing Press to produce high-quality prints on apparel and other garments.
Set up jobs including loading screens, adjusting registration, setting squeegee pressure, and configuring print settings.
Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain consistent production speed while ensuring quality standards are met.
Press Maintenance & Cleaning
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting on the M&R SPORTSMAN® EX press.
Clean screens, squeegees, flood bars, and press components after production runs.
Identify mechanical issues and report them to the Production Manager or maintenance team.
Follow preventive maintenance procedures to maximize equipment lifespan and performance.
Production & Workflow
Follow production schedules and work orders accurately.
Prepare inks, test prints, and ensure color accuracy and proper curing.
Inspect finished garments for quality, alignment, and print consistency.
Maintain organized workstations and adhere to safety standards.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with production staff, art department, and management to ensure jobs meet customer specifications.
Assist with press setup, teardown, and general production support as needed.
Contribute to maintaining a productive and positive team environment.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience operating an M&R SPORTSMAN® EX Automatic Screen Printing Press.
Experience with press setup, registration, and production printing.
Experience performing routine maintenance and cleaning of automatic screen printing equipment.
Understanding of screen printing techniques, inks, mesh counts, and curing processes.
Ability to identify and resolve basic press or print quality issues.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in automatic screen printing production.
Experience printing on a variety of apparel fabrics and garments.
Knowledge of ink mixing and color matching.
Familiarity with production workflow in high-volume apparel printing environments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move screens, boxes, and materials up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a production environment with machinery and inks.
Work Environment
Fast-paced apparel production facility.
Exposure to inks, cleaning chemicals, and printing equipment.
